TRAINING
Get the Most out of your Linear High Grader:
Take a CNM Training Course!
Coe Newnes/McGehee’s (CNM) Linear High Grader utilizes sophisticated technology that will provide great benefits to your mill. To get the most value from the system, it is essential to have the experts teach your personnel how to use it to its fullest potential.

The LHG training course is a three-day program designed specifically for the people who use the system. Mill electricians, QC personnel, production supervisors, and personnel responsible for general operation, maintenance and troubleshooting should all take this course. Whether you’re new to using the system, or have been using it for awhile, this course will give you some valuable, practical tips to make your job easier. The only pre-requisite is a familiarity with computers running Microsoft Windows® 2000.
We believe that people learn best when they’re interested and involved. A Portion of the class time has students involved in hands-on demonstrations. Each student has his/her own computer with the latest LHG software, and access to a fully-functional training scanner equipped with laser, x-ray, and microwave sensors. Each student will also take away a training manual that will be a handy reference back on the job.
The course is taught by an experienced technician/trainer familiar with both the LHG system and the real-life workings of a mill. The course covers safety, components and computers, hardware and software setup, product and cut order setup, reports, alarms and diagnostics. These topics are covered with reference to your own products and your own operation. There is also a thorough section on maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
Courses are held at our Salmon Arm, BC location. Our Training Department can help you arrange everything from registration to transportation, to accommodation. For our customers in the Southeast USA, we have a mobile training facility that will bring our courses directly to you.
